Next Generation Baseball (trademark pending) is pleased to announce the start of an exciting new organization beginning this fall, 2009. The organization will field a U16 and a 17/18 team in 2010 sponsored by EAS®, called “Team EAS". EAS® is a leading sports nutrition company with headquarters in Columbus, OH. EAS® has a portfolio of nationally recognized products and sponsors many professional athletes.
Summary of Key Organizational Objectives:
To provide high school student athletes* an environment that enables them to continue to mature and develop as young adults, as well as showcase their baseball talents. The organization, through its people and partnerships, will be able offer outstanding player benefits. Examples include:
o Exposure to college coaches, scouts, and programs. Recruitment guidance and counseling.
o Baseball skills development (appropriate for each age level) taught by college coaches, college players, and high school coaches.
o Reduced player fees, with potential financial assistance through Next Generation Baseball scholarships.
o Training and nutrition counseling, including free nutrition products and gear from EAS®.
o Highly competitive teams playing in Elite and Showcase tournaments.
* By limiting the teams to the high school age groups, Next Generation Baseball and Team EAS can focus on supporting the needs (i.e. baseball skills, strength training, diet/nutrition, recruiting guidance, showcase visibility etc.) of the pre-college player.
